The therapies Janet uses include:

Hypnosis.

Metaphor therapy.

Emotional Freedom Technique.

Emotion Replacement Therapy.

Therapeutic Storytelling.

HYPNOSIS is a state of deep relaxation in which it is possible to access the unconscious mind to explore alternative ways of being and different courses of action.

The ‘trance’ state of hypnosis is like that of daydreaming, in which we wander off into our own thoughts. The difference between hypnosis and daydreaming is that the trance state can be used to access unconscious ideas and stories, rather than simply wandering.

Commonly, after a hypnotherapy session, clients have a feeling of relaxation and calmness. The process is gentle and natural. In hypnotherapy, no one can be induced to do something against their own wishes.

Metaphor Therapy (also known as Clean Language) is an approach that allows you to develop your own thoughts and ideas about the problems and difficulties you experience. You explore your own metaphors, aided by the therapist asking questions, and make the changes .

Emotional Freedom Technique uses tapping on the acupuncture points on the face and hands to reduce the emotional intensity of an issue. By reducing the emotional intensity you can focus on resolving the issue more productively, or in some cases, the problem is no longer an issue. This does not involve going into trance.

Emotion Replacement Therapy is a deep hypnotic trance state where negative emotions are replaced by confidence building skills

Therapeutic Storytelling can be either the therapist telling you a story when in trance, making suggestions about changing beliefs and behaviors, or working with the therapist to create the “story” of your life, and exploring different challenges and obstacles in the story to find an ending that suits you.

Janet uses all these techniques to find an approach to suit the individual and how they want to approach the issue at hand.
