Treatments

The work I do can be divided in two approaches to treatment: 

Brief Therapy.

This is a straight forward method for simple problems. This includes smoking, eating habits, confidence boosting, phobias and panic attacks.

This will need between 1 to 3 sessions, depending on the individual.

 

Analytical Therapy. 

Sometimes problems are more deep seated, and can’t be dealt with by a “quick fix.” Quite often the problem you have is your unconscious solution to another, earlier problem which you may have forgotten. Your unconscious just needs updating!

I use different approaches (see therapies) to help you explore the reasons for a problem, and then, together, we find a way to deal with it that is longer lasting.

Generally this will need up to 12 sessions, and sometimes more, depending on the individual.

 

Sometimes both types of therapy are needed. When you come for a consultation, I normally suggest that we meet up to three times and then we will review. This allows us both to identify where you can benefit from a straightforward method in the three sessions, or whether you will need a longer period.
